Yasssss: A ‘Crazy Rich Asians'-Inspired Comedy Is Coming to a TV Near You

We're feeling as emotional as Chrissy Teigen was after seeing the Crazy Rich Asians movie. As if getting a CRA sequel wasn't enough to make our Awkwafina-loving dreams a reality, ABC has announced a Crazy Rich Asians-inspired comedy series is in the works for the small screen. (Side note: Is this how Rachel felt when she first saw Nick's house?)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has committed to an untitled comedy from Emmy-winning writer Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty). Pitched with the title Lazy Rich Asians (LOL), the story "revolves around Janey Zhao, a first-generation Chinese-American woman who struggles to set healthy boundaries with her crazy, exhausting family. When her wealthy grandmother dies and names Janet the sole inheritor, she suddenly finds herself the unwilling new matriarch of the family she's spent her life trying to keep at arm's length."

One request: Can Henry Golding (Nick Young) pleaseeeee make a cameo?
