Xbox Announces Launch of 1TB "Carbon Black" Series S

With a variety of new games coming to Xbox this September, like Starfield, the platform has announced a strategic rollout of the 1TB Xbox Series S -- which is nearly double the storage of its predecessor.

First announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, the latest console boasts the same next-generation speed and performance as its 512GB counterpart but now offers players the convenience of storing even more games, including titles like Starfield and Forza Motorsport, which are exclusively available on the Xbox Series X/S and PC.

In addition to increased storage, the system also sports a new color option, deviating from its standard "Robot White" for a bold "Carbon Black," which aligns with the matte finish found on the platform's Series X and Wireless Controllers.

Staying true to a mission it set out on in 2021, the 1TB Series S incorporates Post-Consumer Recycled resins, which results in the creation of fewer new materials and ultimately reduces waste. As for the console's technical features, it offers Quick Resume, fast load times and support for gameplay up to 120 FPS.
