It's been over a decade since former WWE star Mick Foley stepped out of the ring for good, as the 58-year-old officially retired from physical wrestling in January 2012. Even before then, Foley had flirted with retirement on numerous occasions. So despite having been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013, there was always the chance of a comeback.

And as such, Foley teased the possibility of one final match on the latest episode of his Foley Is Pod podcast released on Friday.

"Sixty is right around the corner, I'm thinking about doing one final match for my 60th birthday," he claimed. "Death match. I'm not kidding. I think it would be a great incentive to drop those 100 big ones, and I think it might be fun."

Foley's co-host Conrad Thompson then interjected to ask if he would make his grand return to the WWE. However, he quickly shot down that idea, as it might be too much for viewers to handle.

"No, I don't think so, because I think it would be a pretty gory spectacle," he explained, stressing that at this point, he's still just thinking about it. "I put it out there to two of my kids and they were like, 'Would you get hurt?' And I [was like], 'Yeah, probably!'"

Foley is widely regarded as one of the biggest stars of the Attitude Era, which refers to the programming period from November 1997 to May 2002, as well as being considered one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history. But while one final match would certainly draw a crowd, perhaps he should take the advice of his kids.
