WTF, Olivia Jade Was on the USC Board of Trustees Chairman’s YACHT When the Cheating Scandal Broke

• Lori Loughlin has been accused of bribing her daughter Olivia Jade’s way into USC.

• Olivia was apparently on a yacht owned by the USC Board of Trustees Chairman when the scandal broke.

In case you're wondering where Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade was when she heard that her mom was about to be arrested, that would be a yacht. A yacht apparently owned by the USC Board of Trustees Chairman/casual billionaire Rick Caruso.

Which is pretty awkward considering Olivia got into USC because her parents allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team-despite the fact that they did not participate in crew-thereby facilitating their admission to USC.”

TMZ reports that Olivia spent March 12 (when news of the college cheating scandal broke) on the yacht, where she and Rick’s daughter Gigi (plus a few other friends) were celebrating spring break.

“My daughter and a group of students left for spring break prior to the government’s announcement yesterday,” Rick told TMZ. “Once we became aware of the investigation, the young woman decided it would be in her best interests to return home.”

This is all kinds of yikes, but at least Rick won’t be involved in deciding whether or not Olivia gets to stay at USC-that’s up to the university’s president.
