You Can Write Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a Letter — and They Might Just Write You Back

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and her husband Prince Harry are willing to be your friends. At least, on paper.

Just a few short weeks ago, Harry and Meghan announced they are expecting their first child. The newest member of the royal family should be here sometime in early spring. For their announcement, the couple decided to go the thoroughly modern route of posting about it on Twitter.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” the Oct. 14 tweet from Kensington Palace read.

Though fans can always congratulate the pair by retweeting or commenting on the post, Town & Country noted well-wishers can also send a handwritten letter to the couple, too. If you’re old-school like that you can send your letter to:

TRH Duke & Duchess of Sussex
Clarence House
London SW1A 1BA
United Kingdom

The best part? They may even write you back. According to Town & Country, they could just ignore your letter, but considering Meghan is a well-known calligrapher and Harry is ridiculously polite, they just may take the time to pen you a letter. And there’s some history there to support this as people who sent in congratulatory letters following Harry and Meghan’s May wedding received a letter back alongside a black-and-white portrait of the newlyweds.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind cards and letters they have received on the occasion of their Wedding and are so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did," that card read. "It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by The Royal Highness who send you their very best wishes."

Go ahead, give it a try. The worst case scenario is they don’t answer. The best case scenario is you guys become lifelong pen pals.
