I Write About Home Products for a Living, and These Are the 10 Early Black Friday Deals I'm Shopping
amazon.com
If you're like me, standing out in the cold and waiting for stores to open in the early morning hours to shop Black Friday deals never sounded appealing. I usually just skipped the shopping holiday altogether (and I shop for a living). Now that I don't have to participate in in-person Black Friday shopping, online sale shopping has become like a sport to me—spreadsheets and timers included.
This year, I'm getting my holiday shopping done early thanks to the Amazon, Walmart, and Target Black Friday sales that are already live. And since we can expect shipping delays and manufacturing shortages this year, shopping these deals early is not only smart, but it's also necessary to make sure your gifts arrive in time for Christmas.
And as a home writer, I can't wait to add the best home and kitchen discounts to my cart ASAP. Since searching through thousands of deals is a stressful and time consuming task, I've narrowed my list down to the 10 best home items on sale up to 48 percent off.

I moved into a new apartment in May, and I still have quite a few things on my list that I need to get and items I need to replace. So this year, I'm mainly focusing on practical home items like robot vacuums and humidifiers, and functional gifts my family and friends can actually use and enjoy.
The iRobot Roomba robot vacuum is always a highly sought-after deal on Black Friday, and right now you can save $100 on the best-selling vacuum shoppers say gives them "so much of my time back just from cleaning up after my dog." For years I have dreamt about getting a Le Creuset sauteuse oven for my kitchen but the $300 price point has always deterred me from adding it to my cart. Now that it's $180, I feel no guilt or regret buying the iconic French brand's most famous kitchen tool.
Next, I'm adding a few home items to my cart that will improve my skin—sure, you can buy all of the popular serums and creams, but it won't make a big difference if your environment is causing the damage. My apartment is really dry right now, leaving me with chapped lips and dry skin. That's why I'm getting this humidifier that's 26 percent off to hydrate my skin and relieve my sinuses and tropical plants. I'm also buying a best-selling satin pillowcase set that over 40,000 Amazon shoppers love on sale for $7, and a new set of soft Turkish cotton towels for $22.
There are a few gifts on my shopping list during the early Black Friday sales, including this Christmas-y balsam and cedar Yankee Candle for 36 percent off, a cozy fleece throw blanket on sale for $15 with a clickable coupon, and a charcuterie board and cheese knife set for $30 off. Every year I struggle to find the best gifts for my parents and siblings, and I'm actually excited to gift my parents the Amazon Echo Show 8 that's $50 off to finally simplify and streamline their technological difficulties. And my brother, who's a college student and a new coffee drinker, will love this super-slim Keurig—and I'll certainly appreciate the 33 percent savings.
While Black Friday is weeks away, these early deals won't last long either. Most of the sought-after deals are sure to sell out fast, so be sure to get shopping while they're still in stock.
