Our fifth annual outdoor living design competition beckoned us to answer the call the wild. From Southern California to the countryside of southwest England, this year’s winners offer invitations to explore nature and immerse oneself in its serenity. Though distinctive in style—whimsical objets d’art within leafy tropicalia, glassy reflecting pools, and restored 1930s rose beds—each landscape strikes a beautiful harmony between home and garden.
Interior designer and passionate gardener Bunny Williams (who recently released her latest book, Bunny Williams: Life in the Garden) and Institute of Classical Architecture & Art president Peter Lyden returned to our judging panel. VERANDA editors chose the top 22 entries from which Williams and Lyden blindly selected our 2024 World’s Most Beautiful Gardens.
We invite you on a garden stroll to discover the verdant hidden oases within our four winning landscapes.
