Is the World Ready for Kylie Jenner Baby Products?

Is the World Ready for Kylie Jenner Baby Products?

Not content to capitalize on everyone's obsession with getting smooth, baby-soft skin, serial entrepreneur Kylie Jenner could be on the way to taking over diaper bags everywhere with an actual line for babies. According to WWD, Jenner filed a slew of applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office involving a line of baby products.

Back on May 9, the USPTO received nine separate applications filed under the name Kylie Baby and another nine under Kylie Baby by Kylie Jenner. The different trademarks span a very wide swathe of products, ranging from breast pumps, strollers, and car seats to baby blankets, pacifiers, and baby bags. The ranges could also include actual furniture, such as cribs, changing tables, and playpens. Basically, Jenner is hoping to solidify her fan base while they're still young — real young. The only logical step from Kylie Baby would be to Kylie's regular beauty and skin-care lines, all while the kiddos are grabbing the PacSun Kendall and Kylie Collection before they graduate to the more expensive KENDALL + KYLIE brand. It's all just a part of Jenner's master plan.

But just because the applications are in doesn't mean anything concrete will happen. Big and small brands sometimes file trademarks and do absolutely nothing with them. There's a big possibility that this isn't the case with Kylie Baby, however. Case in point: the trademark applications for Kylie Skin were filed six months ago and that range is launching May 22.

Jenner and her family have been on a trademark application craze. Recently, Jenner filed an application for StormiWorld after her daughter's first birthday theme and back in February, Kim and Khloé Kardashian both filed for trademarks for their children's names: North, Chicago, and Saint West for Kim and True Thompson for Khloé. Kylie already has "youngest self-made billionaire ever" on her résumé and with these latest developments, it's clear she has no intention of slowing down. The new trademarks are just baby steps.
