The World’s First Sour Patch Kids Store Just Opened, And It’s Complete With Candy-Inspired Desserts
As stores are slowly beginning to reopen again, there’s a new one that is going to be among our first stops. The world’s first Sour Patch Kids store has officially opened in New York City. There are a lot of surprises inside, but let’s just say that Bond Street and Broadway now has the sweetest corner in the city.
The permanent shop, which is near Washington Square Park, is filled with limited-edition merchandise, like mugs, t-shirts, socks, and totes. But the real sweetness comes from all of the over-the-top desserts.
There are ‘Just Desserts’ creations, including Who You Calling “Cookie”?, a sugar cookie that’s dipped in red-colored chocolate and topped with Sour Patch Kids, Krispy Kids, a chewy marshmallow treat that’s mixed with Sour Patch Kids and dipped in red-colored chocolate, and Kids DŌ, an exclusive Sour Patch Kids cookie dough that’s topped with even more candy.
The menu is also filled with ice cream bites, like the Waffle-licious that’s made with Sour Patch Kids ice cream on top of a waffle that’s surrounded by a cloud of sour cotton candy. It’s complete with a Sour Patch-flavored drizzle, whipped cream, Sour Patch Kids bark, raspberry chocolate cups, and a marshmallow Sour Patch Kid. Insane, right? There are also a Sour Patch Kids ice cream sandwich and other ice cream creations that come in a Sour Patch Kids-covered cone.
If your sweet tooth (or should we say sour tooth?) is totally satisfy after those options, there are two Sour Patch Kids drinks to sip on through the summer. The Sour. Sweet. Smoothie. consists of soft-serve ice cream, a Sour Patch Kids-flavored swirl, and Sour Patch Kids candy pieces that’s topped with whipped cream, more candy, and a themed umbrella. Having a tough time choosing just one treat? The Rainbows, Cakes & Shakes, Oh My! brings all the elements together by combining a Sour Patch Kids milkshake that’s topped with a slice of rainbow cake, Sour Patch Kids, whipped cream, and a marshmallow Sour Patch Kid.

The good news is that Sour Patch Kids is not planning on popping in and popping out of the city. The permanent store is sure to be a hot spot when visiting New York City, so make sure you leave enough room for a dessert (or two) when you get the chance to go.
