The World’s Coolest Bike Infrastructure
Copenhagen is always 10 steps ahead when it comes to cycling infrastructure, and the city’s new Bicycle Snake is the perfect example. Bridging the gap between two popular areas of the city, the curving, 235-meter bike path not only grants cyclists speedy passage through the Fisketorvet shopping center but also clears up the pedestrian stairs from bike commuter traffic. It’s estimated that about 12,500 cyclists ride through the area every day, and now they have a well-lit orange pathway to make the journey easier, safer, and a whole lot brighter.
