At Mont-Sainte-Anne, Pidcock battled with Mathias Flückiger. Unfortunately for Flückiger, he suffered two flat tires taking him out of contention.
Some of the best cyclists compete in both cyclocross and road like Pidcock. Wout Van Aert and Matthieu Van Der Poel compete across disciplines and win at both. It feels like the era of staying in a lane is over. It is now time for the superstar crossover athletes.
