The 2024 World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards will be hosted in Las Vegas next year, with the five-day event starting on June 1. This is the second time the annual restaurant awards ceremony will be held in the United States — the first took place in New York City in 2016.

The awards will be organized in collaboration with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), Wynn Las Vegas, Resorts World Las Vegas, and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

"Just like the city itself, the culinary landscape in Las Vegas is constantly evolving, and we are thrilled to showcase the breadth and depth to world-renowned chefs, restaurateurs, and culinary leaders from around the world," Steve Hill, LVCVA president and CEO, said in a statement obtained by Travel + Leisure.

Tim Brooke-Webb, the managing director of 50 Best, told T+L that next year’s awards will feature a number of events. This includes interactive seminars; collaborative dining experiences where the 50 Best chefs will cook alongside renowned Vegas chefs; and a Chef's Feast that will "showcase the finest cooking and exhilarating entertainment Las Vegas has become synonymous with." Many of these events will be open to the public and allow for a showcase that “could only be done in Las Vegas,” according to Webb.

“I have been so thrilled to watch this organization grow in influence and give back to the chef’s community," Elizabeth Blau, a restaurateur and CEO of Blau & Associates who has been involved with 50 Best for nearly 20 years, told T+L. "To have an organization that recognizes chefs internationally is so important. [This event] is not only so important for North America and for the U.S., but solidifies everything that everyone in [Las Vegas] has been working on for so long.”

The festivities are slated to conclude with the awards ceremony and a closing party on June 5.
