Daniel Craig is back on his knife throne and ready to solve more mysteries!
Following the successful 2019 debut of Knives Out, sleuthing fans rejoiced to hear that the film starring Mr. 007 is back for an anticipated sequel. With an upcoming release date just in time for Thanksgiving, the sequel titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, is bound to be a twisted murder mystery with a star-studded cast and remarkable location. Here's everything we know so far about the Knives Out 2:
What is Glass Onion about?
The standalone murder mystery sequel takes place in the Mediterranean where a lavish international dinner party doesn't go quite as planned.
The synopsis on Tudum reads, "If Knives Out was about the murderous ties of flesh and blood, Glass Onion makes a good case for being just as wary of one’s closest friends. When tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites some of his nearest and dearest for a getaway on his private Greek island, it soon becomes clear that all is not perfect in paradise. And when someone turns up dead, well, who better than Blanc to peel back the layers of intrigue?"
Who are our suspects in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery?
Similar to the first film, Glass Onion has a stacked cast of A-list actors. Honestly, we don't know how they were able to get all of this talent into one room.
Of course, every murder mystery needs a detective and Daniel Craig will be returning as Benoit Blanc.
Fight Club star Edward Norton will take on the role of tech billionaire Miles Bron, who owns the Greek island where the movie (and murder) takes place.
Not far behind is Ethan Hawke who plays the billionaire's assistant. Hawke is known for roles in films like The Purge and Boyhood.
Actress and entrepreneur Kate Hudson plays a role pretty similar to what she already does. She portrays Birdie Jay, a fashion designer, with Jessica Henwick as her assistant named Peg.
Other major stars include Leslie Odom, Jr., as a scientist, singer Janelle Monáe as a tech entrepreneur, Kathryn Hahn as Claire, a governor running for Senate, Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista who will play a famous Youtuber, Madelyn Cline as his girlfriend, and Jackie Hoffman as his mother.
When does the Knives Out sequel premiere and how can fans watch it?
Bad people. Beautiful places. Brilliant detective.
