Lynda Carter recorded a new song, and fans are "inspired" after dubbing the new anthem "everything that Wonder Woman stands for."

The singer and actress—best known as the star of the iconic 1980s live-action television series, Wonder Woman—took to Instagram on Friday, Nov. 10, to share news of the release of the tune, entitled "Rise Up."

The 72-year-old posted a screenshot of the cover art of the song, which featured an illustration of herself rocking a gold jacket, arms crossed in an "X" gesture, symbolic of the super hero she embodied.

In the caption, Carter detailed the purpose of the release, including insight on where the inspiration for the song came from.

"What do you rise up for? Democracy? Climate justice? Creating a better world for your kids? Whatever it is, I want to celebrate it," she wrote, before urging fans to get involved for themselves. "Submit a video of yourself doing your best Wonder Woman-style spin and tell me what you rise up for at riseup@lyndacarter.com."

Prior to the call-of-action, the message stated that the medley is available for streaming for those who'd like to hear it, along with providing information on where fans can find it. "RISE UP is available NOW on @applemusic, @spotify, and all major streaming platforms!"

In the comment section of the post, supporters applauded the project.

"Omg! This is EVERYTHING!!! ❤️🙌🔥❤️🙌🔥❤️🙌🔥❤️," one gushed, as another said, "I can't wait to listen❤️."

Another exclaimed, "I love it!" before adding, "I’m inspired."

"This is the perfect song for you! It embodies everything you and WW stand for," another comment read, in part.

During a promotional appearance on the Tamron Hall Show on Thursday, Nov. 9, the former TV star opened up about where she found inspiration for the new track, crediting the passing of her late husband, Robert Altman, who died in 2021 of blood cancer.

"You need to move forward, you need to take the next step; put your one foot in front of the other," Carter said on the talk show, continuing, "No matter whether it's the loss of a pregnancy, or it's the loss of a loved one, or if it's a job... or if you're frustrated, or if you're lonely. You still need to pick yourself up and move ahead."
