DC might be under new leadership from James Gunn and Peter Safran, but Gal Gadot's not going anywhere.

That’s according to the Wonder Woman actress herself, who spoke to ComicBook recently on the subject of a possible Wonder Woman 3.

"I love portraying Wonder Woman," Gadot said. "It's so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we're gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together."

There’s been no official announcement from DC, so we’ll have to take Gadot’s word for it, but it comes at a weird time. The last film, 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984, was poorly received, and since then, DC has made the decision to completely reboot its cinematic universe.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is the last film of this current phase. Or, it was, until Gadot’s statement on Wonder Woman 3.

It could be that Gadot is referring to a Wonder Woman TV series, rather than a movie. Afterall, the road map for upcoming DC projects includes a show called Paradise Lost, which is set in the birthplace of Wonder Woman.

Whatever happens, let’s hope they can nail down the cameos - unlike how Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom cut 2 Batman cameos.
