All of the Women Who Made History During the Midterm Elections Hang Out Now
The 2018 midterm elections brought major victories for women of color. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has become the youngest ever woman to serve in Congress. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are now two of the first Muslim women elected to Congress. Ayanna Pressley is the first black woman to represent Massachusetts in Congress. And now all of these amazing women are already hanging out!

The newly elected Congresswomen-the "squad" as Ocasio-Cortez calls them-have already gathered in Washington, D.C. to get to work. In the photo posted by Ocasio-Cortez, the group seems eager and excited to discuss next steps and get to work on important legislation.
Tlaib took to Instagram as well to share photos of what appears to be the group's first meeting, writing "#DreamTeam in Congress. Going to hit the ground running fighting for #JusticeforAll. Congresswomen elect Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar."
