When an Australian woman complained to her employer about a co-worker who was sexually harassing her, the boss reportedly suggested that she was “oversensitive.” A court has since awarded her $10,000 Australian dollars (roughly $7,000 USD), to be paid by the employer, the Australian Associated Press reports.

The unidentified woman, who has a disability, alleged that a male co-worker told her he owned a gun, admired the “killer and rapist” from the Australian horror movie Wolf Creek, and owned excavation equipment that would make it “easy for me to bury a body.”

He also reportedly told her that she only got the job because of her sex and disability and also made inappropriate comments about women around her.

“It’s a hard job all day long, if you get what I mean,” she alleged the male co-worker said.

A senior member of the tribunal that hears civil and administrative legal cases in Victoria ruled that the employer’s insensitive reaction had caused the woman “significant” harm, since the man’s comments reportedly gave her anxiety and made her feel uneasy at work.

“The ongoing hurt, humiliation, and distress to the applicant were significant,” tribunal senior member Bernadette Steele said, per the Australian Associated Press.
