Woman Wants Proof That Ted Cruz Is Human

A Texas woman had the chance to address her representative in the United States Senate this week, a rare moment that she used to discuss the issues that matter to her most-Ted Cruz, are you even human?

On Tuesday, the woman, who identified herself as Tammy Talpas in a clip that was uploaded to YouTube, read from a statement in which she took on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the positions he's held on health care. Talpas said she had multiple conditions, the cost of which would "bankrupt" her if she were forced into the high-risk insurance pools that Cruz has proposed.

Then, she made her request, asking Cruz, "Will you pledge to submit to a DNA test to prove that you're human?"

Cruz, whose extraterrestrial overlords would of course have trained him to answer such questions, was prepared: "Well, m'am, thank you for that, and one of the great things about our democratic system is we can treat each other with respect and civility."

Which is a polite response, I suppose. But, like, it's for sure not a "no."
