Woman Transforms Builder-Grade Bedroom With Wallpaper and Trim Board

When it comes to interior design, one of the number one rules of making your space feel lively is by adding an accent wall. Now accent walls don’t just have to be one wall painted a slightly darker color, they can be a plethora of cool things. From gallery walls to mirror walls, bright colors, and wood paneling, anything can make one wall in the room be an accent wall so long as it stands out from the others just a bit!

One woman thought up a super simple and easy-to-create accent wall that uses a bit of wall paper and some simple trim board panneling to create the look. Not only is it easy to install and simple to DIY but it's also inexpensive, giving her builder grade room a custom look. Check it out in the video below!

When someone refers to the term ”builder-grade” they are referencing the technique used on their built house, typically the style seen in larger housing developments and commonly built contractor houses. They are often made using the cheapest and most bare bones and basic materials, with features that are “just enough” like small tub/shower combos, basic bedroom closets, and boring blank textured walls.

The woman who shared the idea is Instagram user @slonesweethome. Her page is dedicated to all thing shome desgin, easy DIYs, and making your own space truly feel like custom to your style.

She adds trim board to half of her blank builder grade wall, adding in a straight plant midway up and a few rectangle boxes below. She gives the entire trimed area a coat of fresh paint so its uniform and then adds a fun wallpaper to the top portion of the trim board, truly making it pop!
