Designing and decorating rooms can either be relatively easy or extremely difficult depending on what you are working with. Bathrooms for example can be a simple room to re-design, decorate, or remodel, as there are many different routes you can take it.

Some spaces however are an extreme challenge to work with. Hallways for example do not really make themselves that easy to spruce up. I mean they are just a long room with closed in walls and not much wiggle room for design. Well our thoughts on hallway design have changed for the better when we saw what TikToker and home DIYer @chroniclesoflivi did with hers.

Hallways in homes that end with a wall feel like a dead-end street, and in short, they pretty much are. They typically go unnoticed while making a space feel more closed in. One woman thought up a genius way to combat this issue as she transformed her dead wall space at the end of a hallway and we are swooning over the transformation.

The woman added a super simple custom board and batten look to her hallway, which made the blad and frighten space, look alive and cheery. She added the custom board and batten halfway up the wall, creating a visual nd textural element to the closed in space. After the wood was placed she painted it white and added a warm olive green to the top of the walls, finishing off the room with smooth wood accents to tie the look together!
