Woman Takes Her Cat Backyard Camping and It's So Magical

Camping can be a super fun summer activity. Sleeping under the stars, getting some fresh air.. the mosquitos, the lack of Netflix, the hard ground, the no-indoor bathroom. Okay so camping isn't that fun, for a lot of us. But someone who absolutely would adore it is your cat.

Check out the following video posted by TikTok user @Carol_k96 of the magical time she and her cat had in their own backyard.

Okay, so we can get behind backyard camping! Because when the bugs get to be too much and you miss things like close access to your snack cupboard you don't have that far to walk to get back inside. And this kitty seemed to absolutely love it!

TikTok users are loving this idea and @Morgan comments, "Crying thinking about how this was probably his best day ever." @Tiffany says, "This is the most wholesome thing I’ve ever seen! What a sweet sweet boy!" Another user hilariously said, "My cat and I just watched this together and made plans to go camping."

So many users asked if the video creator had a litter box with and she explained that all though you can certainly bring one, since you are just in your own backyard you can just bring your cat in if they start sniffing around or scratching and behaving like they need to go.

If you want to have your own backyard camping adventure with your cat, you probably want to first secure them with a leash or harness if they are an indoor cat and not used to being outside. Cats can scare easily and the last thing you need is your cat leaping out of your arms when you're walking to your tent. Make sure you supply your fur baby with fresh food and water, and watch out for signs that your little trip is stressing your cat out, like excessive panting, pacing or crying.

This is such a cute idea and most cats love exploring new places, so maybe before summer is over you should dig your tent out of the basement and have a little mini-break with your own fur baby! It just may make him a happy camper!
