Woman Shows the Incredible Size Difference Between Her Newfoundland Dogs and A Golden Retriever

If you're looking for a new pet, you might consider a Golden Retriever a big dog, right? But if you put a 'big' Golden Retriever next to a couple of Newfoundland dogs? It looks small in comparison! @Teddy is a 'Newfie' and his mom shared a picture of him and his sibling sitting next to a golden, and wow! There's a noticeable size difference.

Teddy's mom shared a video on Instagram in mid-November of him and his sibling sitting next to their new friend Darwin. The video shows the newfies first, followed by Darwin sitting next to them. They dwarf the golden!

I knew they were big dogs, but WOW! Those Newfoundlands dogs are huge! @Teddy's mom says in the comments that people ask all the time about their size, and this is a perfect example of how they just tower over a Golden Retriever!

Commenters were impressed by the size difference like I was. @daniel_jason_hunter shared, "My Newfie, Honeybear, was about 4'(1.2m) tall in the sitting position. 3'(1m) at the shoulders. Beautiful big dogs. So gentle and loving!" @oliverbernerbabe said, "Beautiful Crew!!" and I couldn't agree more! @roland_the_adventurer added, "Pawfect size for BIG loves!"

They may look huge, but Newfoundland dogs actually just big gentle giants. They make great family dogs because they're good with children and have a very chill temperament. I'm not a huge fan of huge dogs, but if I was, I'd definitely consider a Newfoundland to round out our family!
