An Arizona woman posted a photo of her kiss with Johnny Depp, but she never expected that the post would go viral — nor the type of response she’d get from the actor’s fans.

Letitia Frye served as the auctioneer at rocker Alice Cooper’s annual Christmas Pudding concert
Saturday in Phoenix, where she ran into Depp backstage.

“Johnny and I and his team, all there, and my Instagram team was in there filming,” Frye told Phoenix news station KSAZ. The two locked lips and she shared a photo of their smooch on Instagram a few days later. “By the time I was sitting at dinner [Wednesday] night, I gained 1,000 new followers and had maybe 375 messages, personal messages,” Frye said.

Her post has more than 2,000 likes and 450 comments, many of which are negative.

“He’s mine, don’t you understand that? why you kiss him?” one person wrote. “My Johnny ….. Take off your disgusting lips from him,” another Depp fan demanded.

“Sorry, but you’re not Vanessa and I know she was a great woman for him,” someone else said, referencing his ex Vanessa Paradis.

Others questioned her motive by posting the photo.

“A real friend keeps this kind of photos private. Users make them public. The best way for her to get her face in magazines. Just an other ‘amber’ using Johnny to get her 15min in spotlight. Johnny should keep this kind of ‘friends’ out of his life.”

“Johnnys a good sport and I’m sure had a laugh about it afterwards. Fine.what human being doesn’t like a little bit of harmless flirting with the opposite sex? but what i want to know is what you intend to achieve with sharing this photo Letitia? Why share it on social media?is it meant to be funny?if it’s a private joke then tht goes back to my question; why share it?” someone else asked.

“It was cyberbullying. 100 percent cyberbullying,” Frye told KSAZ.

However, many came to her defense.

“1. Johnny Depp can smooch who ever he f***ing wants. 2. If you don’t like the picture, scroll the f*** on. No need to be rude and s***,” someone wrote.

“In the name of the real deppheads I apologize for the rain of negative and offensive comments. You don’t deserve this. Thank you for posting the photo and once again be part of this event that is so important. Success always,” someone else said. “What the f***ing hell with these creepy ‘husband’ comments? Little girls need therapy and JD should get a restraining order against each one.”

Others just want to know if they are an item. “Are you guys dating?” someone asked. “Everyone is saying y’all are dating,” another follower said.

She confirmed with a follow-up post that they are “just friends” trying to raise money for charity.

“We have kind of a friendship even though we don’t see each other often, a couple years, there’s just something there that’s kind of performer to performer, a mutual respect, parents to parents,” she explained to KSAZ. Although it’s unclear how close the two really are. She shared a video on her Instagram stories in which she introduces herself to Depp.

However, they’ve definitely met before. In fact, they’ve even kissed before. They had their first kiss at the same event a few years ago.

“A couple of years ago, I was joking with Johnny, we should start a kiss picture, so we did it two years ago,” said Frye. “It was on Facebook, and it really didn’t get any buzz.”
