Woman roasts Tinder match after he pushes for a first date at the gym: ‘I am seconds away from crying real tears’
A woman on TikTok and a majority of her supporters are roasting one of her Tinder matches after he had a unique idea for their first date.
Khai Bellamy (@khaibellamy) posted a video saying that she matched with a guy with plenty of desirable qualities but who had a flaw when it came to planning.
“I matched with this guy on Tinder,” she said. “He’s smart. He’s good-looking. He’s my age. He suggests that for our first date, we go to the gym.”
Bel then explained why that was not a good idea and wouldn’t happen. She texted him, explaining that he wasn’t going to see her struggle on the first date but was met with resistance. Her match responded and continued to try and push for the gym date.
“I am not playing hard to get right now. I am seconds away from crying real tears,” she said. “My arms have the voluptuous diameter of linguini. I can’t do a push-up.”
Bellamy clearly wasn’t thrilled about the idea of a gym date as the first meetup — and neither were many of her viewers.
“A gym date is notttt a thing you do FIRST,” said @mister7cuj.
“MEN WHO WANNA GO TO THE GYM FOR A FIRST DATE SCARE MEEEE,” replied @katkitkat4512.
Although this match wasn’t going in the right direction, she wasn’t too worried about her future partner because there’s already a plan in place.
“My best friend and I have a plan that, if we are not married by 40, we will just get married, have a kid and live in a house,” she said. “The dating pool is just so shallow. It’s a puddle of water filled with malaria.”
With Tinder matches like this one, Bellamy is further coming to terms with her fate.
“Every day, that possibility gets so much more ripe and real.”
