Woman refuses to let sister and brother-in-law stay with her: ‘This is not okay’

A woman doesn’t want her older sister Becky vacationing in her spare bedroom anymore.

She asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum to weigh in. The Reddit poster moved to Australia from the U.K five years ago. Her older sister Becky is married with two kids. Becky likes to bring her family to Australia and stay in the Reddit poster’s home.

But after Becky and her family trashed the room, the Reddit poster doesn’t want them visiting again.

“There was food wrappers, crumbs and plastic bottles all over the floor, food stains all over the bed, weird marks on the furniture that definitely weren’t there before and there’s an awful rotting smell in the room that we can’t get rid of,” she explained.

She texted Becky pictures of the mess and told her “that this is not okay.” Becky apologized and said the family was in “holiday mode.” However, the Reddit poster told her that she and her husband weren’t “maids.”

With just $1,000 and one day, this Harlem bedroom gets a brand new look:

“Becky said I’m being irrational and that it’s just a little mess. I told her I don’t care and that it’s mine and my husband’s house and we don’t want it to be treated that way,” the Reddit poster wrote.

She told Becky that they could not come back next year. Becky then told their parents, who believed the Reddit poster was being unfair.

Redditors felt that Becky was the one at fault here.

“If Becky did that to a hotel room she would be forced to pay for damages,” a person wrote.

“Becky and her husband are gross, and your parents are enablers if they think this is all right,” another said.

“While they’re on vacation mode, you’re not. That’s your home,” someone added.
