Woman Jokes About Dog Stealing Her Date and Everyone Feels Seen

If you're a single and a dog lover, chances are that once or twice you might've taken your pup on a date with you. If so, you're going to love this funny parody that Kat of Kat & Oliver posted about taking her Goldendoodle (Oliver) on a first date with her...it definitely did not go as planned!

Kat posted the video at the beginning of February after a commenter on another post requested, "Do one where Oliver likes the date more than he likes you". And that's exactly what she did! It starts with her telling the date not to take it personally because Oliver doesn't like strangers - even though he's already out of the car and getting pets from her date - and ends with Oliver slipping him a secret message!

This cracked me up! Oliver liked the guy so much that he wanted to go another date with him! Kat was so confused the whole time and the best part is when she had to get in the back seat of the car so that Oliver could ride shotgun! @Kat & Oliver fans got a kick out of the video. Oliver's a divo! @Melanie laughed, "Oliver's face at the end LOL!" and Kat replied, "He gets his stalking skills from me". @Sandra pointed out, "The note... Oliver had a great time and wants a second date without mom!!!" but Kat wasn't going to let that happen, "He needs a chaperone at all times!"

What Kind of Dog Is Oliver?

There were nearly 900 comments left about the parody, and I was surprised by how many people asked what kind of dog Oliver is. Many knew he was some kind of Poodle breed, but he's actually a Goldendoodle, a relatively new designer dog breed, and a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. With this breed you get the best of both worlds...they are cute, playful, and extremely intelligent. Unlike Goldens, they shed very little and are hypoallergenic, so if you have pet allergies, this is definitely a breed to consider!

These dogs love to exercise, stay busy, play fetch, and they love to play in the water. They make fast friends with kids, cats, and other dogs, and make great family dogs since they seem to get along with everybody. Because they are so friendly, they don't make the best guard dogs...everybody is a friend!

As with any new pet you are considering, make sure you do your own research on the breeds your family is considering because there are pros and cons that go with every dog breed. You just have to find the one that fits your family best!
