Woman Hailed a Hero for Unexpectedly Rescuing 4 Dogs From Euthanasia List
One amazing woman decided to drive over an hour to rescue two dogs that were on the euthanasia list. The shelter she visited had fifty dogs scheduled to be euthanized that week. Instead of leaving with two dogs, this kind human decided to take two pairs of two that could be pulled together.

You’re amazing, thank you for encouraging fostering too!" @Tine sweetly replies, “Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire” thank you, Jessica.
It's not always possible for someone to foster a homeless animal. Maybe you're at capacity with your own pets in your home. Maybe you work long hours and you don't have time to care for a pet. Maybe you live in an apartment with a strict no-pets policy.
But there are so many other ways you can help the homeless animals in your community. Contact your local animal shelter or humane society and ask about volunteer opportunities. If you are a skilled photographer, you can offer to photograph the animals for their adoption pages. Most shelters are always in need of extra food, old baby blankets, cleaning rags, and cleaning products. A lot of shelters need volunteers to clean kennels, socialize with dogs and cats, and take dogs on walks.
If you are unable to foster a dog or cat, don't let that stop you from finding other ways to help the shelter animals in your community.
