A builder-grade pantry isn't anything special, typically a single door that opens to a small half-closet-sized room that's incredibly shallow, and features a few white wire shelves. This is the closet that Pinterest page and home DIY account @DecorMatters shared. But the woman that they shared this video on took her builder grade pantry and flipped it on its head, check it out!

When someone refers to the term ”builder-grade” they are referencing the technique used on their built house, typically the style seen in larger housing developments and commonly built contractor houses. They are often made using the cheapest and most bare bones and basic materials, with features that are “just enough” like small tub/shower combos, basic bedroom closets, and small pantries.

This woman was over her basic builder-grade pantry and gave it the re-do it was begging for.

She took out all of the wire shelving and added cut large tiles to the back of the wall, using liquid nails to secure them. She then creates custom shelves using Ikea Billy bookcases. Using brackets and boards she makes shelving above for the perfect storage combo!
