A lot of us probably remember our final exams from college — all the late nights studying, hoping we’ll remember everything we learned for the day of the big test. So. Much. Pressure. Now, imagine that pressure at nine months pregnant. This woman is going viral for finishing her finals while in labor. And we think she deserves an A+, to say the least.

Nayzia Thomas is a sophomore at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City. On Tuesday, December 12th, she was in labor at the hospital waiting to give birth to her son. While she was there, she also took some time to finish her final exams. No big deal, right? Talk about being dedicated to her studies. Thomas’s mom snapped a photo of her daughter hard at work. Thomas posted it on Twitter, writing, “my mom took this pic & it’s the perfect explanation of my life. yes i’m about to have a baby, but final SZN ain’t over yet.”

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, Thomas studies psychology. Not only did she complete her final exams in her hospital bed while awaiting her newborn baby, but she also stayed in school until she was 39 weeks pregnant. Thomas went into labor early, but she wanted to finish her final psych exam instead of getting an “incomplete.”

“It wasn’t due until the end of the week — finals week is Dec. 11 to tomorrow — but my goal was to try to have everything done before,” Thomas told Yahoo Lifestyle. “[I thought] ‘before all this gets crazy let me hurry up and finish this final.’”

Like we said, Thomas’s photo went viral.

Her son was born on Tuesday, December 12th.

Thomas experienced some blood loss during delivery, but everyone is doing well now.

And, as you can see in her tweet above, Thomas finished the semester with a 3.5 GPA.

Anthony’s proud aunt posted too!

When Thomas found out she was pregnant, she was working three jobs and taking summer classes.

“School is so important to me,” Thomas told Yahoo Lifestyle. “I didn’t want [the pregnancy] to be in the way. That’s what people expect. You’re a teen mom, you’re a young mother. That’s why my mom took that picture. It shows [I] follow through.”

Congratulations all around!
