A Taiwanese hiker famed for posing in her bikini on mountain summits has died during a solo trek.
Gigi Wu, 36, is believed to have died of hypothermia after falling into a ravine in Taiwan’s Yushan National Park.
According to local media reports, Wu managed to contact emergency services, but rescue attempts were delayed by bad weather.
Social media tributes have poured in for Wu, who was an experienced hiker despite becoming more famous for her bikini-clad photos.
Thousands have commented on her Facebook page, which has been renamed “Remembering Gigi Wu.”
