A Woman Decides to Mark A Milestone Birthday with a Double Quinceañera in 'Never Too Late to Celebrate'

Hallmark Channel continues to deliver on their promise for more diversity and inclusivity in their content. Never Too Late to Celebrate features the Hispanic tradition of a quinceañera, a rite of passage for young women when they turn 15. In this case, a woman who never got to have a quinceañera decides to celebrate a double quinceañera when she turns 30.

What is Never Too Late to Celebrate about?

Camila’s (Alexa PenaVega) busy schedule at the dental practice where she works has left her exhausted and with little time for a life outside of her patient load. When she meets Javi (Carlos PenaVega), a substitute teacher at the school where Camila’s mother Sherri (Sherry Miller) works, she takes him up on his offer to join the beginner Spanish class he teaches on the side so she can finally learn the language of her late father. Sparks fly as Javi helps Camila connect with her Mexican roots and, with her 30th birthday around the corner, Javi encourages Camila to mark this milestone with a “double quinceañera” to honor her Hispanic heritage. Not one for big parties, she’s hesitant at first but ultimately, Camila decides to take the plunge and celebrate in style. Through the process she discovers what she truly wants for her next chapter in life, although this new path may lead her and Javi in separate directions.

Look for Carlos PenaVega to perform "Angel" and "Eres Mia," two original songs in the film.

Meet the cast of Never Too Late to Celebrate

Alexa PenaVega (Camila)

Alexa PenaVega got her start in an episode of Evening Shade and later starred as one of the titular characters in the Spy Kids franchise. She has since starred in several Hallmark movies including A Paris Proposal and Taking a Shot at Love. She has starred in several films opposite her husband, Carlos PenaVega including Love in the Limelight and the Picture Perfect Mysteries movies on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Carlos PenaVega (Javi)

PenaVega starred in the series Big Time Rush on Nickelodeon and is a member of the band of the same name. He starred in the Picture Perfect Mysteries opposite his wife, Alexa PenaVega and previously starred in A Midnight Kiss opposite Adelaide Kane.

Sherry Miller (Sherri)

Miller has appeared in several Hallmark movies including Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made and Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe. She has also appeared on Schitt's Creek, Ginny & Georgia, and Good Witch.
