There are a few things that can just really ruin your room’s aesthetic. Mail cluttering the kitchen table, a plethora of shoes set near the entryway of a door, and perhaps the worst, cords of all sorts piling up together.

It seems like certain areas harness a large amount of bulky cords, all piling up and wreaking havoc on your space. One woman thought of a genius hack for disguising the cords and wifi router that previously stuck out like a sore thumb while still keeping them all in one place. Check it out below!

The woman who created this decorative hollow, cord hiding, pedestal made plant stand is Instagram user @homeartmine. She is a digital creator who posts all things home decor ideas, design inspiration, and fun DIYs. She is quite popular on the platform reaching nearly eight thousand followers on her over 250 posts.

To cover up her bulky wire, cords, and wifi router the woman thinks up a genius and functional cover; a wooden pedestal and plant stand. She made the pedestal box out of plywood and placed a shelf on the back hallow side half way up, to hold her router. She coverd it with a light stain and created a sort of plastered finished look on it.

After it was fully assembled the woman placed the router on the shelf, added the cords in and pushed the stand against the wall, placing a decorative plant on the top.
