Even though summer vacation hasn’t quite hit its peak, it’s time to start looking forward to the holiday season.

Potter fans around the world should be especially excited this year, because Universal Studios in Hollywood is introducing a new, holiday themed attraction called “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” in 2017.

According to a statement provided by Universal Studios Hollywood, the show will transform the park’s Hogwarts castle into a “breathtaking light projection show that captures the spirit of the yuletide season.”

Hogsmeade village, located within the park, will also feature festive holiday décor, and visitors can expect plenty of seasonal food and beverages, including frothy, hot Butterbeer. (It’s not Hogsmeade without Butterbeer, after all.)

The statement described a truly bewitching light show. “As night falls on Hogsmeade village, the familiar sounds of Harry Potter music will resonate throughout [the park]." Throughout the evening, colorful animations will dance across the Hogwarts castle, choreographed to the instantly recognizable music from the Harry Potter films.

The holiday show is also coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando from November 18, 2017 to January 6, 2018, so fans can enjoy the magic on both coasts. More details on when the festivities begin in California will be shared within the coming months.

If only there were a spell to get us there sooner.
