Wisconsin Ski Resort Returns For 'At Least The Next Three Days'

This morning, Granite Peak Ski Area in Wisconsin announced to Instagram that they are back, "at least for the next three days."

This marks their last weekend of the season, but they're "not going to get all sappy - they're going to celebrate!" See below.

There hasn't been a GM blog from Greg since March 17th, but groomers reported in that the snow is still holding strong.

Currently, the temperature is 46 degrees F, there is a wind speed of 5 mph, and sun is shining.

This season, the resort has received 40 inches of snow, and there is a base depth of 18-24 inches.

Ry and the park crew have 11 total features through Sky High & Aspen with a rebuild last night.

On April 6th, the Cardboard Cup returns as the final event of the season at Granite Peak.

Our final event of the year is a guest favorite. The Cardboard Cup pits guests against one another in a sledding race down our custom made venue on Hot Cocoa.

This year's theme is planes, trains, and automobiles.

Cardboard sleds are created using cardboard, paint, zip ties and duct tape only. (But pieces of flare, costumes, and more are strongly encouraged).

Families, friends, and even Granite Peak Departments go head to head in hopes of taking home the coveted cardboard trophies created by the Granite Peak GM & his kids.

Granite Peak may be aware that temps are warming and snow is melting, but they aren't giving up without a fight. At least for three more days.
