Where is the best place to go to find old things that you can turn into something new (and arguably better than before)? That would be Goodwill of course! There you can find anything from old furniture just begging to be flipped to decor that, with just the right touch, can be the highlight of any room that you put it in. And luckily it doesn’t even have to take THAT much effort - just ask the Goodwill of Wisconsin.

Want to know one of the quickest and easiest ways to upgrade just about any piece of old decor? Two words - metallic paint. That's right, before you get started on this whole thing, go ahead and grab yourself some metallic paint, we recommend at least two or three different colors and you can either grab hand paint or spray paint, whichever you'd prefer when it comes to ease of use and how much effort you are wanting to put in.

Next, head to your local Goodwill and look for some pieces, but here is the trick. Don't just look for things that look good as they are, but imagine how they'd look in gold, silver, or copper - essentially whatever metallic color paint you got! There should be a literal ton of pieces that you can find, often overlooked, because they're too old, too stuffy, or the colors are a bit too 70's country kitchen for most people's taste.

Just take this video, for instance. It features a set of wall decor that is both plastic and has colors that are at once faded and a bit too grandma'ish. But with some cleaning and a coat of metallic gold and silver paint they are transformed into some pretty cool wall art that I think anyone would be happy to have up in their place!
