Will you need an umbrella today? What about a hat and gloves? Obviously, your phone can tell you the weather, as can smart assistants like Siri, Alexa and Google (just ask!). But there's something to be said for a dedicated, full-time weather station that shows you everything at a glance: date, time, indoor and outdoor temperatures and more.

All you do is install the remote sensor somewhere outside (front porch, a backyard tree — anywhere within about 200 feet of your house), then turn on the station. The latter can run on AC power or three AAA batteries (not included), and it can mount on a wall or sit on any flat surface.

The display is divided into three sections. Up top, you'll see the date, time, moon phase and your alarm settings. (Yep, this doubles as an alarm clock, complete with a snooze button.)

In the center, you'll see the current outdoor temperature and humidity readings, alongside a 12- to 24-hour forecast represented by colorful icons (though take this information with a grain of salt; see below). The bottom section displays indoor temperature and humidity.

You can toggle the screen between three brightness settings and also choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit temps.

I haven't tried this weather station myself, but it earned a respectable 4.3-star average from over 1,000 Amazon customers. Just keep in mind that because this system doesn't connect to the internet, it's not getting the most accurate weather data. Instead, it's basing all its numbers on what the remote sensor can pick up outdoors.
