Winter Park Resort, Colorado, Plans To Stay Open As Late As Possible

Winter Park Resort, Colorado, recently announced its closing day plans, noting that the Mary Jane side of its resort will remain open as late as possible.

Winter Park is using a staggered closing plan. On April 21st, the Winter Park zone of its terrain will close, with the Mary Jane side offering skiing and riding as long as conditions permit.

Starting April 27th, the resort will host the Jane Beach on Saturdays this spring, featuring DJs, drinks specials, and giveaways at the Mary Jane base area. Last ski season, Winter Park remained open until May 29th.

Winter Park is just about bang on average for snowfall so far this season (343 inches to the seasonal average of 344.6), with the possibility of more snow later this month.

According to the Denver Post, several other Coloradan resorts, including Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin, are sharing Winter Park's approach in remaining open as long as possible.

Of those three, A-Basin remained open the latest, keeping the lifts spinning until an impressive June 4th.
