Wingstop Bringing Back Fan-Favorite Flavor With Some Sweet Heat

Not only is it back, but you can add it to pretty much anything on the menu.

Wingstop is bringing back the fiery flavors of summer for a limited time.

In a press release shared directly with Parade, the company announced its Hot Honey Rub would be back on menus nationwide once again.

The flavor was initially introduced in June 2022, and Wingstop surprised those lucky enough to try it with its ability to capture the sweet, gooey taste of honey without any of the mess and enough spiciness that fans didn't question whether or not there was cayenne pepper and ancho chili in the dish.

The rub can be hand-sauced-and-tossed on almost any Wingstop menu item, including the Wingstop Chicken Sandwich, classic wings, boneless wings, or tenders, per the release.

Wingstop also acknowledged that fans were destroyed by the decision to remove the rub from menus–citing one who said they would sell their soul for Wingstop’s Hot Honey Rub to return, another who claimed “a part of me died” when the flavor ran its limited-time-only course, even comparing it to “the worst thing to ever happened to me.”

To make up for the heartache, fans who share their love for the item on social with the hashtag #WingstopHotHoney before the end of the sweepstakes on Feb. 13 will have the chance to be added to the brand's "Close Friends" group on Instagram.

Only the fans with the most engaging posts will be added to the group, unlocking hot rewards like limited-edition merch, the first scoop on brand knowledge, and Wingstop gift cards in exchange for the rights to boost your posts as sponsored advertisements promoting Wingstop on social.
