A Winged Visitor Comforts Grieving Daughter: "We Know It Was From Dad!"

When Woman’s World reader Jennifer Cox lost her dad, her mom received a sign from him that brought the whole family comfort.

Jennifer’s Guardian Angel story told in her own words:

My entire childhood, and even after I was grown, my parents would go to the lake. We started out simply camping out in a tent, and worked our way up as the years progressed. Eventually, my parents purchased land, and we had our own vacation home there.

There are a lot of wonderful memories that involve the lake. We always had the best time. We all cherish the times we spent there together.
Even long after my brother and I were grown and had families of our own, my mother and father would still go to the lake all the time. They would fish or go out on Dad’s sailboat.

Unfortunately, after my dad’s health started to decline, my mom made the tough decision to sell their lake property, but they still didn’t stop going to the lake when he was able.

They purchased a small travel trailer that could be pulled behind their truck. They went a few times before my dad had to be admitted to the VA hospital for long-term care. My dad then passed away in July 2022.

My mom decided that she would continue the tradition and still go to the lake by herself. She just recently went for the first time alone without Dad. She found a spot that she enjoyed to park the trailer.

She told me that she was sitting at the table when a bird flew into the trailer through the little window of the door. It flew around like it was checking things out then perched for a minute or so, then flew back out.

Mom told us she just knew that was Dad making sure that she was okay by herself at their “favorite” place. We miss him all the time — especially when we go to the lake — but that little bird helped Mom realize that he was glad she continued to carry on the tradition that they both had loved!
