Wine & Dine raises money for more than 20 Coachella Valley charities

More than 800 people attended the second annual Wine & Dine Around the World on Oct. 12 at the Palm Springs Air Museum. The event supported more than 20 Coachella Valley charities and was created by Marker Broadcasting as a finale to its weekly summertime Wine Down Wednesday events.

Hosted by Marker Broadcasting and Lulu Catering and Events, the event was a wine-tasting evening featuring hundreds of wines from multiple countries, paired with regional hors d'oeuvres. Tequilas, bourbons and other spirits were also available for sampling.

VIP tickets included admission to the after party, "Flight 2023," which featured premium wines, an open bar, elevated cuisine and entertainment. A portion of the proceeds benefited the guest’s choice of one charity per ticket.

Benefiting organizations included Variety - the Children's Charity, YMCA of the Desert, First Tee of the Desert, Shay's Warriors Life After Cancer, Big Hearts Little Hearts of the Desert, Pegasus Riding Academy, Les Dames d'Escoffier, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert, United Cerebral Palsy, Desert Cancer Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City, Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus, Patriots Hockey, CV Volunteers for Medicine, Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert, Voices for Children and the Coachella Animal Network.
