Windy City Rehab fans are used to seeing Alison Victoria transforming Chicago homes into stunning spaces. Now, the HGTV star (and House Beautiful cover star!) is taking her design skills to a different arena—er, breed: designing luxury dog houses. Plus, it's all for an amazing cause! In honor of National Dog Day, Alison partnered up with primer company KILZ to design five dog houses, whose auction proceeds, plus a $20,000 donation, will go towards the ASPCA.

Alison gave us more insight into the project, sharing that the two luxury dog retreats closest to her heart are the Wesley and the Kennedy—both named after her two doggies. We're especially intrigued by the Kennedy, a cozy pup nook that also acts as an end table.

“For me, form and function are very important when it comes to the interior of our homes, so any of the dog houses that acts as side tables are a win-win,” Alison tells House Beautiful. “It’s making them look beautiful, but also remembering that they were built for our pets first and foremost and you’ll see that in a lot of the designs.”

When asked if she has a favorite dog house, Alison spills to us that the Wesley is without a doubt the star of the collection. For its design, the 37-year-old drew inspiration from her West Highland Terrier—who loves to sunbathe—along with elements she incorporates into all of her renovated Chicago homes, like roof decks, white brick, and plants.

“Wesley loves laying in the sun and I thought, ‘How can I incorporate this roof deck for him to lay out?’ and of course, plants are important with a lot of my builds,” she tells us. “It truly became everything I could have ever dream of with that design.”

Starting today through August 26, dog-lovers—and of course, HGTV viewers—can bid on the five custom dog houses built for the KILZ “Every Dog Is Worth It” campaign, which aims to solve common pet owner issues, like stains and unwanted smells.

Alison lent her interior designer expertise to work alongside Los Angeles-based architecture studio Pijuan Design Workshop—known for their handcrafted, mid-century modern dog houses. Now, it's time to start bidding!
