Attention, all stargazing enthusiasts: Reno Tahoe is giving away an all-expenses-paid trip for you and one other guest to enjoy the Perseid meteor shower this summer.

One of the most stunning celestial displays (at least according to NASA), the shower—named after the constellation Perseus and categorized by the long streaks of light and color it leaves behind as it darts across the sky—shoots off anywhere between 50 and 100 meteors per hour.

The breathtaking phenomenon—which only happens once a year, when the Earth’s orbit crosses the path of Swift-Tuttle (Perseids’ parent comet)—began on July 14th, but is set to peak in mid-August. That’s when spectators can expect to see the most meteor action, with each space rock traveling at a whopping 130,000 miles an hour.

Winners will have the chance to sleep under the stars in Massacre Rim, located 150 miles from Reno Tahoe and known for being one of the darkest places on the planet (making it the perfect spot to take in the stellar show).

The prize package also includes two roundtrip tickets to and from Reno-Tahoe International Airport, a $200 restaurant gift card, one night free at the Reno Tahoe hotel, plus use of a 4-wheel rental car—not to mention camping gear (so you don’t have to bring your own tent or binoculars) and a pack of assorted beer from local breweries.

Interested in the out-of-this-world experience? Be sure to enter here before the winners are chosen on August 6th. (Note that all entrants must be over 21 and have a valid driver’s license.) Good luck!
