Who Will Win 'Claim to Fame' Season 2?

Claim to Fame Season 2 is halfway done and that means that six people with famous relatives have been shipped out of the Hollywood mansion (in one case kicking and screaming as she packed). That leaves six players left in the game, but with all the clues floating around, its certainly not an even playing field. Some of the players remain in general anonymity while the relatives of others are poorly kept secrets. So who will win and take home the $100,000 prize? Let's unpack the details and determine the most likely winner.

6. Hugo

Hugo is one of two sitting ducks currently in the house. With Chris and Monay having deciphered Gabriel's clue, most everyone knows that he is in fact related to Jimmy Carter. That means he'd be an easy layup if someone lands in the bottom and can't identify a bigger threat. Unless he pulls out some master strategy, I can't see him making it to the end.

5. JR

JR's famous relative has also been identified by the Chris/Gabriel combo as Lil Nas X. While that seems to be a bit more of a secret at the moment, I can't imagine it will take long for word to spread around the house. That means he'll also be an easy target should he be up for elimination.

4. Karsyn

Karsyn received a stay of execution this week when Olivia incorrectly guessed her relative to be Jeff Gordon, but I think they're close to the real answer, which is likely just a different racecar driver. That being said, the remaining contestants don't seem to know many drivers, so if Karsyn isn't related to Dale Earnhardt, she could win just because no one is able to figure out her relative.

3. Chris

Chris is in a fairly solid position 1) because he has access to most of the clues and information and so should be safe if he's the guesser and 2) no one has figured out who his relative is. Yes, they've got the "teen idol in the '70s" clue, but with a younger house, I'm beginning to wonder if they'll be able to peg Donny Osmund. Having a slightly older and more obscure relative helped the likes of Pepper on Season 1, and it seems to be helping Chris as well.

2. Gabriel

Gabriel, like Chris, has access to nearly all the information from the house AND he has an advantage going into next week's challenge. On top of that, most of the house assumes he's related to an athlete rather than Nick Cannon. While Nick Cannon is certainly a recognizable figure that I think the house will be able to figure out given the right clues, Gabriel has insulated himself pretty well so far.

1. Monay

I think Monay is the most likely contestant to win simply because her relative is the most obscure of those remaining. I, someone who writes about pop culture for a living, only had a passing knowledge as to who he is, which is extremely helpful when compared to Jimmy Carter, Tom Hanks and Eddie Murphy, who the vast majority of people could easily identify. The fact that both Chris and Gabriel know "its the Black guy from Curb Your Enthusiasm" and don't have a clue who that is, means Monay is sitting pretty. Provided Hugo, Karsyn or JR aren't Curb fans, she might be smooth sailing much like Logan was last year after the country music fans were eliminated. She's my winner pick.
