Willow Smith has never played by mainstream rules, from her music to beauty and fashion choices. The singer is known for her unique raspy voice, vulnerable lyrics and edgy style. Now, Smith is fully stepping into her beauty IT Girl era.

The songstress made her debut as Allure's May cover star and we're swooning over her makeup and hair looks. One of the looks created by iconic hairstylist Vernon François consisted of a braided updo that resembled horns on each side of her head and loose braids hanging down that gave off the perfect messy look.

Her makeup featured pigmented red blush on the majority of her face, a red lip, iridescent eyeshadow and her signature septum piercing. All of Smith's makeup looks were created by Raoul Alejandre, who's known for his avant-garde beauty moments.

Another iconic look that Smith sported is a black, red and gold ombre, metallic lip. The rest of her face played into the no-makeup look with a low-shimmer liquid eyeshadow and mascara.

Alejandre turned Smith into a work of art with a makeup look that resembles a blue leopard print butterfly with its placement. The print covers her whole face and includes a soft red lip and gold eyeshadow to offset the artist's eye color.

The daring makeup looks fast track Smith to the top of our beauty IT girl to-watch list.
