Willow Smith Got Matching Tattoos With Mom Jada Pinkett Smith and Grandma Adrienne Banfield-Norris

Willow Smith has a few tattoos, but her newest ink may be the most meaningful yet. The musician just got matching tats with her mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her grandma, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and the body art is so sweet and beautiful.

As noted by People, the Red Table Talk trio got inked by the popular tattoo artist Dr. Woo on a recent episode of the show. The multi-generational group each got a set of three lotus flowers in the process of blooming on their arms, with Willow's joining the intricate half-sleeve designs on her forearm.

The group wanted something that represented not only their respective life journeys, but their close relationship. "The lotus represents spiritual enlightenment," Willow explains of their choice in a clip posted by Jada. "And we hear the saying, 'Through the mud grows the lotus'" ... I think all of us, from different perspectives in life have had that journey." The flowers in bloom also serve as a visual reminder of their bond. "The bud to the little blossom to the bloom also expresses the spiritual journey, but also the three of us," Willow shared, noting that she was the bud, Jada was the blossom, and "Gam" was the bloom.

Willow also talked about her very first tattoo experience and how she was nervous to tell her dad, Will Smith, that she'd gotten inked. "He was actually the one that I was most nervous about," she shared. "I showed my mom the art for my half-sleeve three weeks before I got it. But I didn't tell my dad." However, things turned out just fine. "I showed it to him and he said, 'Everything is in divine order. Your path is your path and I love you.'"

We're loving this pretty, delicate design and its sentimental meaning so much, and we think Willow will cherish this new body art for years to come. What a sweet reminder of the powerful women in your life!
