William Posts Personal IG After Visiting Homeless Charity Linked To Princess Diana
It has been a big week for Prince William as he attended a Bond premiere, made a visit to Northern Ireland, and saw the book which accompanies his landmark Earthshot Prize go on sale.
The Duke of Cambridge also made time for a trip that is close to his heart as he visited a homeless charity Princess Diana used to take him to as a child.
William attended a special awards ceremony and reception for charity The Passage to mark their 40th anniversary at their headquarters in southwest London.

However, the Duke of Cambridge also made time for a trip that is close to his heart as he visited a homeless charity Princess Diana used to take him to as a child.
William attended a special awards ceremony and reception for charity The Passage to mark their 40th anniversary at their headquarters in southwest London. Following the trip, he posted an image of his late mother on Instagram along with a personal post describing his “great affection” for the charity. (Swipe for the image of Diana)
William became royal patron of The Passage in 2019, saying in a statement at the time, “The visits I made as a child to this place left a deep and lasting impression upon me – about how important it is to ensure that everyone in our society, especially the poorest, are treated with respect, dignity and kindness, and are given the opportunities to fulfill their potential in life.”
The event, which the Prince attended for more than an hour, paid tribute to clients, frontline staff and volunteers as well as donors and supporters. It had been due to take place last year, with the charity marking 40 years in 2020, but was postponed until now due to the pandemic. Since being established in 1980 the charity has helped almost 135,000 people to end their homelessness.
In 2019, Prince William visited The Passage’s kitchen and helped prepare and serve spaghetti bolognese and in 2020 he wrote a foreword for the charity’s cookbook A Taste of Home.
