The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly hosting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over the holiday season, according to Us Weekly.

It was previously reported that, after the royal family (including Markle) spends Christmas at the Queen's Sandringham estate, the newly-engaged prince and former Suits star will join the Kate and William at their nearby home, Anmer Hall, on December 26.

However, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Harry and Meghan might stay with William and Kate as early as Christmas Eve, so they can watch Prince George and Princess Charlotte "open their stockings from Santa on Christmas morning." Both couples are still expected to make an appearance at Sandringham on Christmas Day, Kensington Palace confirmed last week.

Markle and Middleton have reportedly grown close as the actress adjusts to royal life. "They’ve developed a friendship, and Meghan can turn to Kate for advice," a source told Us Weekly.

Bonding is likely easier now that the two are neighbours, since Meghan has moved in with Harry on Kensington Palace grounds. In the couple's first interview, Markle called the duchess "wonderful" and praised her and Prince William for their "fantastic support."

Middleton had equally kind thing to say about the couple. "William and I are absolutely thrilled,” she told reporters the day after the engagement was announced. “It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment."

Harry and Meghan will likely also spend some quality time with the duke and duchess' children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2. The royal tots have already met Markle "several times," according to The Sunday Times, and they've reportedly scored roles in the royal wedding.

Before spending some downtime with William and Kate, Prince Harry and Markle will join in on royal family holiday traditions, like attending a church service, having a hearty lunch, listening to the Queen's speech and indulging in a buffet dinner on Christmas Day.
