We Have a Wild Theory About Joanna Gaines’s New Solo Show
Joanna Gaines may have just shared a few exciting details about her newest venture—her cooking show!
Thanks to her recent Instagram Stories, we've got a pretty good hunch about the show's filming location.
It's been a few weeks since we first learned the exciting news: Joanna Gaines will soon be back on our television screens with a brand-new solo show! While we still don't have all the details on the as-yet-untitled program, Joanna did reveal that it's going to be a cooking show (what better companion for her Magnolia Table, Volume 2 cookbook?), and that it'll air on Chip and Jo's new television network.
But now, thanks to Instagram, we've got even more reason to get excited about the new venture: a possible tip-off about its filming location from Joanna herself. The 41-year-old best-selling author and mother of five recently posted a series of photos to her Story that featured kitchen gadgets, measuring cups, spices, pots and pans, and...a professional video set-up.
Coincidence? We think not.
She took the whole situation a step further by captioning one of the photos with, "Hint...", and writing on another, "It's like Christmas in the basement of the Gristmill! (Any guesses what's happening here?)"
Indeed, we do have a guess! Could the former Fixer Upper host be turning the oft-mentioned old gristmill into a set for her new show? After all, as eagle-eyed fans will remember, she and husband Chip Gaines did post about their plans to renovate the mill back in June of 2018, and again in May of this year. But we were never totally sure about what they actually intended to do with the gorgeous, 130-year-old landmark.

Only time will tell. Until then, we'll be placing bets on which recipes Joanna's going to make in the first season of the fun new show. Here's hoping some of our Magnolia Bakery favorites make it in!
