Wild Photos Show Car Flipped on Its Side at Dunkin' Drive-Thru

Drive-thru workers often see just about everything, but employees at a Dunkin' location in Londonderry, New Hampshire got quite a sight on Feb. 28. A vehicle waiting to place an order flipped over on its side in the drive-thru lane. Luckily, no one was hurt.

"Life happens, but coffee helps," the Londonderry Police Department captioned its post showing the overturned SUV. Commenters were confused about how it happened, with some pointing to the bent yellow bollard next to the lane as the culprit.

The incident is still under investigation, but authorities do believe that the concrete-filled metal pipe is to blame. While an SUV might be more prone to tipping over, that doesn't mean this vehicle was unique in any way.

“SUVs tend to be a little top heavy compared to sedans, so the potential [for tipping over] is greater, but it’s not a hazard we’re concerned with all the time," police chief Jeremy Mague told The Eagle Tribune. "If any kind of car was perched up on the bollard, the same result would’ve occurred."

Mague explained that the driver of the overturned vehicle had gotten out of the car by the time authorities arrived on the scene. Medics looked at the driver to assess any injuries, but no further medical attention was needed.

Talk about a rough way to start your morning.
