As someone who has tried to find the best boots for wide feet for 20+ years, I know the struggle is real. So I polled Cosmopolitan editors, searched the internet, and did a deep dive into the world of boots for wide feet (and wide calves) to bring you a comprehensive list of the very best.

Finally, my fellow wide-footed friends, now is our time to actually enjoy wearing boots without worrying about pinched toes or spending 30 minutes yanking tight boots up your calves.

Sewinny Extra Wide-Calf Over-the-Knee Boot

The next time you think your wide feet and/or calves are keeping you from wearing over-the-knee boots, think again. Vince Camuto offers a range of wide-width boots with specifications for both wide feet and wide calves, including wide-calf and extra wide-calf. MY REVIEW: I got these for winter in NYC, and while they did take a while to break in (and a couple blisters), they were worth every moment of discomfort. The boots didn’t make my toes feel squished, or feel restrictive over the tops of my wide feet. They also lasted through at least 4 winters of intense use.

Wide-Fit Mae Block Heel Ankle Boot

Pro shopping tip: ASOS has tons of wide-foot options, from flats to sneakers, and, yes, boots. Unlike some retailers, which only offer a small selection of wide-width shoes, ASOS has plenty of different classic and trendy styles to choose from, including these Topshop olive croc-embossed ankle boots.

The thing about wide boots is that they tend to be chunky, which means they can get heavy quickly. These Maguire boots stand out because they’re super lightweight, making them a breeze to walk in. The rounded toe leave room for wide feet, but the boots don’t have any zippers or laces, so if you have an unusually high arch or tend to be sensitive on the top of your foot, these might not be the best boot for you.
